Junior League of San Jose recently partnered with Chai for Charity, whose mission is to inspire people to give in creative ways, to highlight three local nonprofits aligned with JLSJ’s values and goals. Each nonprofit shared support needed in four categories: money, goods, time, and talent (check out bit.ly/chaiJLSJ). JLSJ is excited to provide an accelerator grant to each of these organizations.

Founded in 2007, the Women’s Achievement Network and Development Alliance (WANDA) empowers low-income single mothers with the knowledge, skills and financial assets to develop and achieve economic self-sufficiency and upward mobility.
St. Andrew’s Residential Programs for Youth (S.T.A.R. Programs) provides residential care to youth and young adults in foster care and the juvenile justice system through services in transitional housing and foster homes. Every year thousands of children are unable to be cared for by their family and are in need of a trauma informed environment.
