The Junior League of San Jose would like to thank all of the following participants for making Silicon Valley Trivia Challenge history at our November 8, 2008 inaugural fundraising event:

• Silicon Valley Trivia Challenge Competitive Teams – you inspired everyone with your trivia acumen and prowess (not to mention your enthusiasm and very creative costumes)!
• Spectators – thank you for cheering on your favorite teams all the way through to the “Sudden Death” round.
• Larry Stone, Judge – thank you for your intelligent, impartial and fearless trivia rulings.
• Mike Inouye, Emcee - thank you for making the trivia fun, fast and really funny, especially through some of the more heated challenges.  Who else could get 321 people to shout “SUDDEN DEATH” in their best pseudo-broadcaster voice on queue throughout the evening? Okay, Mike - you rock!
• The Tech Museum of Innovation, San Jose – thank you for a terrific venue!
• Café Primavera – thank you for the delicious brain food: pasta, hot dogs, sliders, salad, sushi, coffee, cookies, and parfaits. 
• The “Exobyte” Question - for stumping 26 teams and 1 judge regarding the correct notation.  Answer:  10 to the 18th  (that’s just in case you’re still wondering)!
• The "Serbia" Answer - for becoming the de facto answer for teams when they had no idea how to answer a question (and it didn’t matter whether the question had anything even remotely to do with geography).
